Apart from their shared passion for snowboarding and their involvement in the Olympic Games—PyeonChang 2018 being the most recent—Julia Dujmovits and Anke Woehrer share something in common. Both of them are huge fans of Siberian Huskies. Although Anke’s encounter with Jaws and Julia’s adventure with her beloved Kira are so different, the love is unquestionably the same in both!
A FIRST DAY WITH THE FAMILY FOR HUSKY KIRA
After Ringo, the German Sheppard, the previous family dog, passed away, Julia adopted Kira, a 10-year-old Siberian Husky. “The Princess” was likely a little miffed that she wasn’t given a red carpet reception, so she made sure to be treated well the following time. The entire account of Kira’s first day with the family can be found here.
HUGE PERSONALITY OF HUSKY KIRA
Growing up, Julia Dujmovits was surrounded by animals, particularly dogs. When her childhood friend Ringo, a female German Sheppard, passed away, the beautiful Kira—the Siberian Husky Julia calls the “family princess”—took her place. After getting her, the family was unable to have other animals around since Kira dislikes competition, but her large personality is sufficient to make up for it. Despite being a spoilt princess, Kira is also a lot of fun. One of the funniest things Julia remembers about Kira is this!
When Kira is away, what does Julia miss most about her?
In addition to being a gorgeous and pampered princess, Kira is also incredibly affectionate and willing to do practically anything. Even though Kira is no longer as active as she once was as a “old lady,” she will always go with Julia when they get together to go training or for a walk in the woods.
The affection and support of Siberian husky Kiri
Due to several medical setbacks during her career, Julia Dujmovits always spent her recuperation time at home with Kira and her family. Even if they don’t live together frequently, Julia misses having a pet around since it meant a lot to her to have her around. Therefore, any opportunity they get to spend time together is valuable to them both.
