We are all aware that dogs and cats do not get along. But, know this: as long as the world exists, it will continue to surprise you with new things. Dogs and cats are widely thought to despise one another. Some see them as bitter rivals. Which is somewhat accurate, but what we are about to show you today will utterly blow your mind.
This dog in the post below undoubtedly adores cats more than any other animal alive. He treats rescue kittens as if they were his own. He interacts with them by playing, cuddling, and even bathing them. When his owner discovered his fondness for cats, he viewed this as an excellent chance to soothe stray kittens brought to their cat sanctuary.
Raylan’s owner stated, “Raylan’s a very smart dog who is eager to please and up for any adventure.” “I discovered he liked cats when we brought our first foster kitten (Watson) home six years ago, when Raylan was three years old. He instantly wanted to play with him and was quite nice and patient. Watson is now our neighbor, and they hang together regularly.”
Raylan_the_dog has over 25,000 Instagram followers. Raylan’s Instagram description describes him as a purebred mutt that likes getting beer for loved ones, going on road trips, and snuggling with foster kittens. Raylan’s owner revealed how they obtained him: “Raylan was adopted from a high-kill shelter, where he was about to be euthanized.” Nobody wanted him because he was too energetic and inexperienced, but plainly no one had attempted to train him.”
Raylan, who is 9 years old, has cared for almost 60 kittens. That’s a lot of children! The owner recounted how Raylan cares for the kittens: “He cleans them all the time (which is quite useful when they are small), as well as playing with them and carrying them around. “He also prevents them from scratching the sofa.”
The popular video shows Raylan and two kittens stumbling across him and then cuddling up to the dog. The comments are filled with affection and desires for the kitties to find a suitable home. The owner commented, “I don’t know how he hasn’t gone viral before! We’ve been doing this for years, and he’s simply great.”
We asked the owner how Raylan reacts when the kittens leave: “He’s usually ready for a rest when the kittens leave and never appears sad afterwards, but after a few weeks of alone time he starts to get sad if I don’t get new kittens – and when new kittens arrive, he’s always so happy and excited. His favorite day is “new kitten day!”
The owner helps with several shelters, but she usually pays for kitten care out of herself. Please consider donating to shelters or starting your own foster home!
