Morgan, a proud mom of five fur-babies, was not intending on adopting any more children, but a small cat that made its way into her house was about to alter everything.
Polly, like a young Thumbelina, was discovered under a tree stump with no evidence of her mother.
Morgan, Polly’s pet-mother, discovered her after hearing quiet meows from someplace on her property. Morgan knew there was a young kitten in need someplace and began searching for her; but, owing to the dense undergrowth on the property and Polly’s peculiar hiding spot, she initially had difficulty finding her.
Before taking her home, they left the stray kitten where she was found in case the kitten’s mother returned while keeping an eye on her from a distance. After a few hours, they realized they needed to interfere.
When it grew dark, we became concerned about her because we live on a farm where foxes are common, so I went outside and brought her inside. She couldn’t see anything and was covered with fleas. Morgan informed Love Meow.
They christened the kitten Polly, gave her a bath, and eliminated all the fleas from her coat. Paxton (called Pax), the 12-year-old resident dog, heard the kitten squeaks and went to check on her. The two hit it off right away, and Polly was made to feel like she was a member of the family.
The kind giant quickly warmed to the small kitten and began caring for her. The kitten was lured to the warmth and snuggled into his fur for comfort. She stopped screaming, snuggled up close to him, and fell straight asleep.
Polly and Pax have been inseparable since they met.
Morgan bottle-fed Polly for about three weeks, until she was ready to wean. Pax would wait patiently as his kitty ate her meal. Then, as soon as she completed her meal, he rushed in and began cleaning.
Polly is already 5 months old and capable of cleaning herself, but she still has a lot to learn from Pax, who is currently in his senior years. Polly, however, continues to follow her closest pal about the home like a shadow.
The former stray has developed into a mischievous kitty. Pax allows her to play and fight with his tail and is never weary of her antics.
Polly and Pax’s love is powerful, pure, and lovely to see. Thanks to Pax, Polly, the little orphaned kitten they discovered on the tree stump, has grown into a gorgeous young cat.
